A place for non-work-related flimflam, faffing, hodge-podge or jibber-jabber you’d prefer to keep out of more focused work-related channels.

Here comes the Rust. Ubuntu 25.10 will be the first major Linux distribution to adopt sudo-rs as the default implementation of sudo. “While no piece of software - in any language - is flawless, we believe the transition to Rust in systems programming is a vital step forward, it is very exciting to see Ubuntu committing to sudo-rs and taking the lead in moving the needle.”

Hey everyone 👋

We just launched a tool that solves a real pain many of you have probably hit when onboarding live GCP projects into Pulumi.

It’s called *StackForge* — and it auto-generates:

✅️ A clean Pulumi YAML (Main.yaml)
✅️ A fully hydrated Pulumi state file (stackName.json)
✅️ Optional GCS upload — no apply needed

🛑 No Terraformer
🛑 No pulumi import struggles
🛑 No manual wiring of resources

🎥 Demo (2 mins): http://x-itm.com/demo.mp4
🔐 Free trial: https://x-itm.com/stackforge-trial/
(Just request a key)

We built it while migrating large-scale GCP environments and needed something faster and safer than import scripts. Happy to share examples or feedback if anyone here’s done similar migrations.
