📣 Apart Research is hiring a Hackathons Program Manager!
Apart is looking for someone to own and scale our hackathon program: events that bring together 200-1000+ participants globally to work on AI safety research questions.
The role (80% hackathons,20% general ops):
→ Run the full hackathon lifecycle: speaker recruitment, partner coordination, live event ops, post-event impact tracking
→ Keep our systems running smoothly (Notion, Zapier, Discord, etc.)
→ Support participants before, during, and after events
→ Help with general ops work
You might be a fit if you've:
• Run large online/hybrid events or programs
• Built operational systems that actually worked
• Made judgment calls when things went sideways
• Cared enough about the details to make participants want to come back
Remote, flexible arrangements (full-time or contractor). Preference for CET/PST but open to discussing.
