🌎️ US-based Remote

Our team builds and maintains the platform that powers GoPro's photo & video services serving users via mobile apps and connected devices globally. We work as a hub in the middle of several development, data science, and product groups.
We run video processing clusters with up to 1000 EC2 instances and dozens of web and API services relying heavily on containers, Spot market, custom metrics, and diverse compute types. Experience running large-scale web services a major plus!
🌐 Environment: Linux on AWS, container orchestration with EKS & ECS. Lambda and CloudFront. CI/CD with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, JFrog, etc.
🛠️ Toolset: Terraform, Python, Helm, Nginx, Datadog, Cloudwatch, etc.
👩💼 Team: Geo-distributed between U.S. and Romania, our team is weighted towards senior engineers. Current size is 5 in Romania and 4 in U.S. Overall software group is around 60 people.
We're working on streamlining maintenance, security, release, operations, and cloud costs. Passing 1.6M paid subscribers recently, our subscription service more than doubled last year and we foresee similar growth ahead. I'm the hiring manager and have been with the company for over 8 years -- AMA!
