Anyone have a project example with Microsoft teams and a form to trigger a private lambda function?

Does anyone set slack retention policies for legal reasons? I learned my company does it for channels and dms so legal has fewer messages to sift through if litigation ensues

Guys do you know if I change Slack workspace/org name will integrations continue to work with new name or I will need to re-generate tokens/keys?

Anyone here used YellowAnt ? It looks kinda like what I’ve wanted to do with handling all the buttons and workflow basics while sending calls to the apis if desired

Here's something to pose... Might be partially a DevOps question and partially a chat ops.

So Netflix supposedly allows creation of repos through chat ops. I really like the concept as it reduces a lot of barrier to getting stuff done quickly.

However how do we balance this in a infrastructure as code type of world?

So there's a lot of quick automation things I could do such as say create a repo, set up an alert for a cloud watch alarm etc. But if you are using infrastructure as code should the barrier be allow somebody to do it in chatops or something instead that maintains state like terraform and requires committing to that approach?

To me they seem slightly at odds.  The world of chatops, runbooks, and iac plans all cross over in many areas so curious how you think about this.

Any modules for terraform/teams notifications that anyone is using would be great too. Looks like I'll be migrating from slack to teams in next few months and want to setup some event alerts for key things I there + pager duty.

What's the state of Microsoft Teams for ChatOps for folks here? Great, complicated, easy?!

I've written PoshBot plugins....
Here's what I want:

• Python/PowerShell/Go bot (3 languages i'm interested in right now)
• Supports newer slack features for dialogue for triggering actions and responses (populating drop downs etc)
• Easy to add a new function/dialogue without tons of development effort. Ideally scaffolding examples included.
• Either terraform stack to build lambda + required resources + apigateway etc
• OR docker based simple setup so I could spin up and run from any box without setting up windows services (poshbot was a bit tricky to do that with)

any tips? The modern slash app/dialogue support is sorely lacking in much of the solutions. I don't want to using dialogue commands now. I want gui/dropdown/interactive. This will help adoption dramatically where I am

Does anyone know of a Slack bot implementation that can execute bash scripts remotely?

We are also potentially looking at VictorOps, but not sure if they are as customizable as Zapier/other bots would be

they also seem to be spamming https://www.reddit.com/r/chatops/ quite a lot - so I ruled out reddit as source of reliable information

@Michal Matyjek looks like yellowant is similar to zappier but with more of chatops slant, right?

my biggest gripe is the round-trip time is ~20 seconds, so it doesn't feel snappy

I used the Slack integration to listen for messages to a #test channel that contain deploy version. then i filter for messages by a authorized user @erik. then I format the message and extract version 1.2.3 and stage production. then I call a webhook and pass that information. then I send a slack message with those fields as a response to the slack channel.

Today I played with zappier. Now don't get me wrong, this is a big hack - but it's awesome for prototyping workflows like this

I like Errbot - seems easy enough

looked at https://www.yellowant.com/ yesterday - but they seem to do a lot of marketing around solving problems Errbot has, but once I started looking deeper they really don't

https://github.com/opsdroid/opsdroid seemed interesting given natural language processing plugin....

I think a combination of gitops tied with chatops will lower the bar for other members of an organization to contribute
